Have always liked that one - reminds me of the Dutch Masters cigars image :
It's a Rembrandt painting from 1662 of a group of textile guild members, titled; "De Staalmeesters".
Rembrandt [ along with Peter Paul Rubens ] is one of my all time favorite painters for his use of light and shadow and
placement/arrangement of figures/objects to draw the eye in the intended direction around the painting. Brilliant painter.
In his painting, "De Staalmeesters", as it was described by one of my Commercial Art teachers in the early 80s,
it's as if you yourself came upon their meeting, interrupting it and their looking at you with a polite inquisitive, "Yes ? May we be of assistance
?"
This is how I see that photo of Peter as if he's saying, "Yes ?" About the painting
