Lovely. I was planning to take the boys to the beach, but maybe I'd better not now.

Yeah, I saw that. Funny how I can get Myrtle Beach news in Fayetteville. I will be still going to the beach, but will keep a real close eye on the boys.
Probably fish more to be honest! Woo hoo, only 1 more day until we get there!

I don't think it will be bad
High: 88 °F RealFeel®: 96 °F Cloudy spells with a couple of showers and thunderstorms possible No Huricane Hanna so all is good. |

Doesn't MB have life guards on duty ??

Yes...but with a rip current it is so unpredictable....plus the people think...."Oh nothing is going to happen to me."
The locals know that if get caught in a rip current, swim parallel to the shore until you get out of it, then head to shore....lot of tourist don't know that. forget the overalls...I want to be the spandex

kissimmeme wrote: The same happens here. It is always the Asians or Indian tourists that get into trouble here. I think it is a language problem - they don't understand what 'swimming between the flags' means. To my knowledge, no one has ever drowned on a patrolled beach in Australia. |

I found out this morning that the drownings have been taking place after 6pm (when the lifeguards are off duty). Happened again....man trying to save his 2
sons...they went swimming after the lifeguards went off duty
