This is about the only thing I like about my blonde hair. When the gray strands show they end up looking like highlights.

I am terrible...I will make Tony color his mostly gray hair about once a year. I don't like his gray hair. When he was in the hospital all those times back at the start of the year people kept referring to me as his daughter. It was actually kind of embarrassing.

But then on the other hand you have these women, and I am sure men also, that refuse to admit they are getting up there in years & they insist on dying their hair the coal black, super dark brown or even auburn, that they had in their 20's. Then they draw in the eyebrows to match & cherry red lips to go with it. They look terrible! You have to realize that as you get older & lose that color in the hair you are also losing that color to your skin. You need to go lighter with the hair as you age so you keep with the skin tone.

My mom is guilty of that to a point. She just turned 65 & insists on still coloring her hair the dark auburn she had when she was younger. Hairdressers have tried to tell her she needed to go lighter, even blonde, but she refuses.
