It is almost like they put all of kisstory and hard rock in a blender and we are getting bits of thing that remind us of good tunes, sounds and times.
My feeling Ken? This album is like a greatest hits CD of 3-4 KISS albums we've never heard. Anyway it makes sense in my head... just doesn't come out well when I typed it.

I think these are both very good descriptions. At least after listening for just one day.

It sounds like all eras put together. It has the vibe and groove of 70's stuff, a lot of really strong hooks and multi-voiced choruses like in the 80's, and some hard, crunchy songs like in the 90's. That's probably why most of the tunes sound familiar in some way, it combines all of the great KISS styles together.

I think a lot of this would be due to Paul's production on the album. Taking the philosophy of not thinking too much and writing with their instincts naturally brought out the overall KISS style, something it seems Paul really wanted.
