Great thread Linda. I don't recall the title of the new song which has this, (maybe Hot and Cold?) but Tommy makes a cool nod to the lead in See You In Your Dreams.

I have to say, I'm the first person to pick up on borrowed melodies, etc. I don't find a lot on this album that bothers me. Nope. Sounds like pure KISS to me. The Poison bit is nothing to worry about at all. Gene would have sung it this way if Bret Michaels & crew hadn't recorded Ain't Nothin' But A Good Time.

Gene's scream has a bit of Unholy yes, but also harkens to the scream from Fits Like A Glove too.

Paul gives us a great "Ha!" like he used to in Take Me and others... Partners in Crime included (right after Bob Kulick's crazy outtro solo, the bent note pull-off run, Paul says "Ha!").

Acoustic guitar, which only appears ONCE on this album, and for but a few seconds, reminded me of Magic Touch...

Gene's "Look out!" is straight from Thou Shalt Not...

Damn, Ara! You just told me exactly where the things I've been hearing but couldn't place came from!

Paul's little "Ha!" is something he used to do a lot in the 70s. It's even on "I Was Made for Lovin' You."

Fits Like a Glove. That's what it was. I knew it was an 80s Gene song but I thought I was going to have to go through all of them to find it.
