Hi Rich! Firstly, we want to congratulate you guys on an incredibly successful 2009! We are very proud of you!

Question ... now that Mr. Speed's 2009 tour has concluded, can you give us a quick overview of your thoughts on this past year? Anything you can share with us as far as your hopes and plans for the 2010 tour?

I'm going to say "Silver". Sure, it was great growing up with "Live At Budokan" but "Silver" combines alot of the elements of any great band into one package. There are lots of songs...they bring back previous members to play on tracks that they originally played on in the first place...and it's live! We've been performing the usual tracks that everyone has come to expect from "HTH" like "Let Me Go..." and "Parasite" among others. Of the rare tracks from the album we really haven't added anything to our normal show since performing them in Indy. To be honest, the only song that has seen a steady rotation into our show from that set is "Tossin' and Turnin'". We played it last night and got a very good response from the crowd.

We usually try to use what KISS themselves have used in the past. This year we did something diplomatic...I chose one and Andrew chose one! My selection was Cheap Trick's "Dream Police" and Andrew chose Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love". He told me that KISS actually used "Whole Lotta Love" back in '77. Sure...there have been lots of songs that didn't make the grade. For a whole lot of reasons too. With KISS there have been numerous style changes over the years and if for instance we wanted to do something from "Animalize" besides "Heavens On Fire" we had to trust that Joe was able to handle the lead guitar work of Mark St.John. Another example might be a song like "Rise to It" from "Hot In The Shade". I think musically we could pull it off but the...

Karen...now you're speaking my language! We have constant discussions about how to improve our stage set up. Just yesterday Tina, Andrew and myself were discussing a new drum riser. That will probably be the first thing that we set out to accomplish. We'll need to get a few shows out of the way to financially make it possible but we're constantly looking to improve the show.

To be honest when we bring someone new into the band there is always a time period where we're getting to know that person and they're getting to know us. There really aren't any obstacles with Andrew. There is also a "feeling out" process but again when change is in the wind you know fairly quickly how things are going to go. Having our routine pretty well set in stone doesn't necessarily mean that we won't compromise with ideas that a new member may suggest....

To be honest we were just at the coffeehouse two weekends ago. Tina and I flew down with Andrew to help him move back here to Cleveland. So while our visit was short and under the radar we did manage to visit the coffeehouse, take in dinner at Nakato and lunch at Uno's before heading back. If there is a celebration this year I can't say for sure if we'll be involved at this time. We may just visit there as we've done many times over the past 10 years or so.

Sure! Now that we've got Andrew on board we're willing to try anything. Once we get a few more shows under our belts we'll be better than ever! As for what songs they might be...you'll just have to come to the shows and find out.
